Mutare Bible Church

Mutare, the third most populous city in Zimbabwe, draws people from across the country in search of employment and education. But while syncretistic, cultic churches remain popular and the prosperity gospel, atheism and Islam are on the rise, there is a dwindling presence of evangelical churches in the area. The city also faces significant economic challenges including widespread unemployment and corruption.

Gift and Portia Vhukani studied at George Whitefield College and attended SBBC between 2019 and 2023. Having now graduated, they hope to reach the families, students, business people and unemployed in Mutare by planting a Bible church in partnership with FOCUS student ministry.
